Edible bowls are no longer something you can only get at fancy restaurants. With the help of Sargento® Shredded Parmesan Cheese and our step-by-step recipe, you can make these stunning bowls at home in your very own oven and fill them with a fruit medley or vegetable salad.

Ingredients
  • 1-1/4 cups (5 oz.) Sargento® Shredded Parmesan Cheese
Directions
  1. On a large cookie sheet coated with a cooking spray, spread heaping 1/3 cups cheese into four 6-inch circles, spacing the circles 1 inch apart. Bake in a preheated 400° oven 9 to 10 minutes or until cheese is melted and golden brown. Have ready four small (6 oz.) custard cups or four 3-inch diameter drinking glasses, turned upside down.
  2. When cheese has melted, immediately use a large spatula to drape each circle of cheese over the cups, pressing lightly with a pot-holder to form a bowl shape. Let stand until cool. Remove "bowls" from custard cups. Fill with fruit or vegetable salad. Makes 4 small bowls.
