Make these tasty and spicy cheeseburgers when you want to spice up the grill or stove top. Succulent beef patties are marinated in beer and seasonings and prepared on toasted bun with melted Sargento® Sliced Sharp Cheddar and Sargento® Swiss Cheese and a jalapeno pepper for a much-welcomed kick in the taste buds.

Ingredients
  • 8 oz. beer
  • 1/4 tsp. brown sugar
  • 8 oz. lean ground beef pattie
  • 1 jalapeño pepper
  • 1 tsp. olive oil
  • 1 slice Sargento® Sliced Sharp Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 slice Sargento® Sliced Swiss Cheese
  • 1 bakery bun, split and toasted
  • 1/2 avocado, sliced
  • 1 leaf butter lettuce
  • 1 slice fresh garden tomato
  • 1 slice red onion
  • 5 slices kosher dill pickle
  • =Burger Seasoning:
  • Pinch garlic powder
  • Pinch sea salt
  • Pinch paprika
  • Pinch pepper
Directions
  1. Mix beer with brown sugar In a shallow dish. Place pattie in beer mixture and marinate in refrigerator for about 1 hour. Remove and place on grill.
  2. Combine seasoning ingredients, sprinkle evenly over pattie and cook to desired doneness. Meanwhile, sauté jalapeño in olive oil, cooking until soft; slice and discard stem and seeds.
  3. While still on grill, place jalapeño directly on top of burger followed by cheeses. Allow time to melt cheeses.
  4. Place burger on bottom of bun. Top with avocado. On bun top, place lettuce, tomato, onion and pickle.
