These bite-size burgers are made with ground chicken slathered in barbecue sauce, green onions and topped with Sargento® Colby Cheese Slices. Then sandwich between hearty toasted buns of your choice.
Ingredients
1 lb. ground chicken or turkey
3/4 cup barbecue sauce
1/2 cup sliced green onions
1/2 tsp. hot pepper sauce (optional)
8 slider rolls or dinner rolls, split, lightly toasted, if desired
4 slices Sargento® Colby Cheese Slices
Directions
Sauté chicken in large nonstick skillet over medium heat until no longer pink, about 6 minutes. Drain; return to skillet.
Add barbecue sauce and green onions; simmer 3 to 4 minutes or until heated through.
Spoon mixture over bottoms of rolls; top each with ½ slice of cheese. Close with roll tops.
