Make your guests go crazy for this Baked Tomatoes Recipe, made with our real, natural shredded Parmesan and Mozzarella cheeses. This simple recipe is a great way to use your fresh, ripe tomatoes and basil before the season comes to a close.

Ingredients
  • 4 medium tomatoes
  • 1 1/2 cups 6 oz. Sargento® Shredded Mozzarella - Traditional Cut
  • 1/2 cup Panko crumbs
  • 2 tsp. fresh basil or 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp. dried parsley
  • 1/3 cup Sargento® Shredded Parmesan Cheese
Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350° F.
  2. Cut tomatoes in half and place cut side up in 13x9 baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle Sargento® Shredded Mozzarella - Traditional Cut cheese evenly on top of tomato halves.
  4. Bake for 10 minutes.
  5. While baking combine breadcrumbs, seasonings and Parmesan cheese in a bowl.
  6. Remove from oven and sprinkle tops of tomatoes with breadcrumb mixture.
  7. Bake an additional 10 minutes, or until breadcrumbs are toasted.
