Sometimes all you need is a little bit of Cheddar cheese sauce to add the perfect finishing touch to a meal. We’ve got just the recipe for you! Using Sargento® Shredded 4 State Cheddar® Cheese and some basic ingredients along with chicken broth, you can make the cheesiest sauce on the block.

Ingredients
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
  • 1-1/2 cups milk or reduced sodium chicken broth
  • 1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 1-7/8 cups (7.5 oz.) Sargento® Shredded 4 State Cheddar® Cheese
Directions
  1. Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add flour; cook 1 minute stirring constantly.
  2. Stir in broth and cayenne pepper; bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to low; simmer 2 minutes.
  3. Stir in cheese until completely melted; remove from heat.
