These easy to prepare breakfast bowls, filled with sausage, potatoes, asparagus, eggs and cheese, are the perfect way to start off a day of camping.

Ingredients
  • 8 pcs. heavy duty aluminum foil, approx. 12"X12"
  • 12 ea. fresh breakfast sausage patties, uncooked
  • 2 cups frozen southern style hash brown potatoes
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 ⅓ cups fresh asparagus, chopped (or substitute peppers, broccoli or tomatoes)
  • 8 lg. eggs
  • 12 dashes hot sauce of choice, optional
  • salt & pepper, to taste
  • 2 cups Sargento® Shredded 4 State Cheddar Cheese
Directions
  1. Form 4 pieces of foil into bowl shapes using a 4 cup upside down bowl or dish as a form.
  2. Place 3 fresh sausage patties in the bottom of each aluminum foil bowl.
  3. Pour 1/2 cup of potatoes into each bowl.
  4. Add 1/4 cup onion to each bowl.
  5. Add 1/3 cup asparagus to each bowl.
  6. Crack 2 eggs into each bowl.
  7. Sprinkle hot sauce, salt and pepper over eggs.
  8. Place remaining foil pieces over foil bowls and fold over edges to seal bowls.
  9. Place bowls on a cooking grate over medium hot fire for 18-20 minutes.
  10. Remove bowls from fire with a fireproof gloves or a long spatula.
  11. Open tops, add cheese and cook another 5 minutes or until cheese is melted. Serve 1 bowl per person.
